Antonio Westphalen, MD, MAS, PhD, is an Associate Professor in Residence in the Abdominal Imaging Section in the Department of Radiology and Biomedical Imaging and Urology at the University of California, San Francisco. Dr. Westphalen is the Director of the Clinical Prostate MR Imaging Program and a member of the UCSF Department of Radiology’s Clinical Research Team and of the Prostate Cancer Imaging Group. Dr. Westphalen’s research emphasizes on the use of advanced imaging technologies to diagnose and treat patients with prostate cancer. Dr. Westphalen’s unique background has allowed him to expand his research and provide new expertise to the Prostate Cancer Imaging Group. Dr. Westphalen has published over 100 articles related to his research, study cases, and reviews. His publications have appeared in the major journals in the fields of radiology, urology, and radiation oncology.
