Dr. Goldberg is an Assistant Professor of Medicine and Epidemiology at Penn and Medical Director for Living Donor Liver Transplantation at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP). Dr. Goldberg's research interests include evaluation geographic disparities in access to healthcare for patients with end-stage liver disease, designing optimal systems of organ allocation, and improving rates of organ donation and utilization of donor organs. Dr. Goldberg has been instrumental in developing new metrics of donation rates, and in designing novel clinical trials focused on increasing utilization of organs from deceased donors with hepatitis C.
