Dr. Angela DeMichele is a Penn Medicine physician who serves as the Co-Leader of the Breast Cancer Research Program and Co-Director of the 2-PREVENT Breast Cancer Translational Center of Excellence. She holds the Alan and Jill Miller Professorship in Breast Cancer Excellence in addition to key roles including Co-Chair of the ECOG/ACRIN Cooperative Group Breast Committee, Chair of the Trial Operations Working Group for the I-SPY Consortium, and membership in the NCI Breast Cancer Steering Committee. Dr. DeMichele is an integral part of the Penn Breast Cancer Program. With extensive expertise in breast cancer, Dr. DeMichele specializes in pioneering therapies for breast cancer and focuses on preventing cancer recurrence. She was recognized as one of America's Top Doctors in 2017 and featured consistently in Philadelphia magazine's Top Docs issues from 2018 to 2021. She got her board certification in medical oncology in 1998. Her educational background includes medical school at Washington University in St. Louis, residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and a fellowship at the University of Bologna School of Medicine and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
