Dr. Courtney A. Schreiber is the Chief of the Division of Family Planning in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She holds the Stuart and Emily B.H. Mudd Professorship in Human Behavior and Reproduction at the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Schreiber serves as the Program Director for the PEACE (Pregnancy Early Access Center) initiative and as the Executive Director for FOCUS on Health and Leadership for Women. She also leads the Complex Family Planning Fellowship and is Research Director for the Building Interdisciplinary Research Careers in Women's Health (BIRCWH) K-12 Program. Her career goal is to enhance the reproductive health of all individuals, particularly underserved populations. Dr. Schreiber's multifaceted approach involves direct service, clinical innovation, and scientific research focusing on public health and policy relevance. Her active involvement includes programs such as Penn Family Planning and Pregnancy Loss Services, Penn LGBTQ Health Program, and Penn Virtual Visits. Her research expertise encompasses clinical trials, reproductive science, health policy research, reproductive epidemiology, contraceptive technology development, and sex and gender disaggregated research. She has been a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist since 2007. Dr. Schreiber's educational background includes medical school at New York University School of Medicine, residency at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, and a fellowship at UPMC Presbyterian.
