Dr. Laurence H. Klotz is Professor in the Department of Surgery, University of Toronto Division of Urology, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto, ON, Canada. Dr. Klotz completed his MD and residency in Surgery at the University of Toronto. His fellowship was at Memorial Sloan–Kettering Cancer Center and he was a Special Fellow in Uro-Oncology and Tumor Biology. He is the Chief of Urology, Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre and Editor-in-Chief of the Canadian Urology Association Journal, and Chair of the World Uro-Oncology Federation. He is President of the Urological Research Society and the Canadian Urology Research Group. Dr. Klotz's research interest is in uro-oncology focusing on molecular effects of diet, hyperinsulinemia, micronutrients in prostate cancer prevention and active surveillance for localized prostate cancer.
