Morgan S. Newman | CureTalks
Morgan is a metastatic cervical cancer survivor who was diagnosed at the young age of 24. She underwent chemotherapy and radiation therapy leaving her stripped of her fertility. Since her diagnosis, Morgan has vowed to advocate for others in hopes of less women having to experience the same loss. She serves as a patient advocate by telling her story. Morgan is a cervical cancer ambassador for Cervivor where she has spent time speaking on panels, lobbying at Capitol Hill, and building partnerships within her community. Because of Morgan's commitment to advocacy, she was the proud recipient of the 2018 Cervivor Champion Award. Morgan is a committee member for her local Bras for the Cause chapter to raise awareness of and the importance of preventive screenings for both breast and cervical cancer. Her passion for advocacy doesn't fall short as she is also finishing her Masters in Social Work at the University of Iowa. Go Hawks!
