Sean Breininger was diagnosed with Fanconi anemia at age 31, a rare genetic disease that causes bone marrow failure and head and neck cancer. In the 11 years since his diagnosis, he has had a bone marrow transplant, tongue cancer, throat cancer twice, bladder cancer, gum and cheek cancer, and hundreds of skin cancers. He lives in St. Paul, Minnesota with his wife, Allison and their teenage daughter.
